Sponsor a Student

Families pay only a modest tuition to send their children to Tumaini Schools. Yet, many Tumaini families experience financial hardships because of crop failure, disease, divorce or death. Tanzania Education Corp pairs donors with a Tumaini student with a demonstrated financial need. To date, Tanzania Education Corp has paired over 125 students with sponsors.

A $1,700 sponsorship provides a student with tuition, school uniforms, school supplies, boarding items and medical care for a year. In return, sponsors receive student-written letters, photos and updates. If you are interested in becoming a sponsor, or for more information, click to send an email to our staff at communications@tanzania-schools.org

Help Equip our Science Classes

Help Tumaini Secondary School students “barcode” the living organisms around their school and beyond. For a new science course in January students will characterize and perhaps even discover new organisms in their local environment by characterizing their DNA. Help us purchase the lab equipment needed for this project! Send to 9 Norfolk Road, Chestnut Hill, MA 02467 or donate the amount of the kit here.

We will supply tax letter for donation amount.

Art Fundraiser

Tumaini primary and secondary students created the artwork below in a painting workshop with How To Draw To Lion. Following the workshops, the students came together and decided to use their art to fundraise for new textbooks and and library books of their choosing. By supporting this fundraiser, you will receive one of these 11 x 14 original creations by a Tumaini student. Please note that free domestic shipping is included for these unframed works.

Once you hit the button below, it will take you to our Network For Good page to complete your suggested donation of $250. Each painting is one of one so be sure to write the name of your selected painting in the “Your Note for the Donor Scroll” box. Thank you for your support and feel free to share widely with your networks!
