The Tumaini Junior upper primary classrooms and administration offices were completed with the support of private donors in 2014. The building also hosts the academic offices, a conference room, and the library.
The Tauck Library, completed in 2014, was made possible by contributions from Tauck’s World of Giving and several private donors. A popular place on campus, it houses books, games, and activities for students to engage with outside of class.
The Tumaini Junior computer lab was completed in 2014 with a major contribution from a private donor in honor of her parents. For many students, it is the first time that they are interacting with laptops and learning about computers.
The basketball court at Tumaini Senior was made possible by a private donor in honor of a family member that passed away. The court lines and hoops were positioned by Gould Academy students while visiting TSS on a cultural exchange enrichment trip in 2019.
The Tumaini Senior Secondary Library was completed in February 2019 with the support of The Lamar Family. This leisure library was dedicated to Sara Shifrin and Alice Lamar and their love of literature in hopes to inspire Tumaini students to read. With over 1,000 books in stock, the library is essentially a passport to the literary world. It has an office space as well as a music room for emerging artists.
The dining hall at Tumaini Senior Secondary serves as the heart of the campus. As the favored location for school assemblies, development workshops, celebrations, and the cafeteria for all meals for students. It was constructed with the support of a private donor and completed in 2019.
